“Years from now, I want you to feel something, not just see something.”

ART-FIRST WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

A bride and groom sharing a kiss outside in a garden with flowers and green hills in the background.

I don’t photograph weddings as events, I photograph them as human stories.

The glances, the nerves, the stillness, the chaos, the laughter, the moments in between. The parts that matter later on once the day has passed by.

My background is in documentary photography, years spent learning how to observe, anticipate, and work within real situations without disrupting them. That experience is what I bring into every wedding I photograph.

Not poses. Not performances. Just presence.

Before I ever photographed a wedding, I was photographing people in real life, strangers, communities, long-term projects, stories that took years to unfold. That taught me how to be patient. How to read rooms. How to sense when something is about to happen before it does.

Weddings are no different, they are a whirlwind of emotions, compressed into a single day..

I don’t direct the emotion, I wait for it.
I don’t manufacture moments, I notice them.

What this means for you is freedom.

Freedom to be present.
Freedom to feel without being watched.
Freedom to experience your day without performing for the camera.

I work quietly, intuitively, and with intention, most of the time you won’t notice me, but years from now, you’ll feel what I captured.

I’ve spent years building bodies of work outside the wedding world, publishing books, exhibiting projects, and documenting real lives in real circumstances. That experience isn’t something I switch off when I photograph weddings. It’s the very thing that shapes them.

You’re not hiring someone who pretends to be a storyteller.
You’re hiring someone who lives inside the story.

If you’re drawn to photographs that feel real, emotional and timeless, not trendy, not staged, I’d love to tell your story.
